Idaho plant honored with JDH’s Patricia Hillman Award for Safety Culture Excellence

JDH is proud to announce that its Wendell, Idaho, plant has been awarded the Patricia Hillman Award for Safety Culture Excellence for 2024. This prestigious award is named in honor of Patricia Hillman, the company’s matriarch, and is presented annually to the JDH location that exemplifies outstanding commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.

At JDH, safety is more than a priority—it is the foundation of our operations and the guiding principle behind our first core value: “We take care of one another because we value safety.” With safety as the foundation of our operations, we recognize locations that go above and beyond in continuously improving their safety standards.

The Wendell, Idaho, plant, led by Plant Manager Al Ward, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to making safety the basis of everyday operations. In addition to Al, JDH also recognizes Tony Schroeder, plant manager trainee, Damian Farrier, regional EHS+ manager, Todd Gearheart, regional general manager, and David Bauman, assistant general manager, for their roles in driving safety initiatives and contributing to the plant’s success.
